We take undergraduates, master's students and doctoral students. What is required is quantum mechanics at the level of a solid undergraduate course and a willingness to program. Prior nuclear physics is not required and, for a beginning student, is not even an advantage.

我们招本科生、硕士和博士。学过本科量子力学、愿意写程序就可以联系,不要求已有核物理基础。具体概念会跟着第一个计算一起学。

Undergraduates本科生

A first project here does not begin with review articles. It begins with a calculation you run yourself: take a global optical potential, compute the elastic angular distribution for a real system, pull the measured points out of the database, and put both on the same plot. Within an afternoon the diffraction minima either line up or they do not, and you have learned something about the world by computing it. Very few fields can hand a second-year student that experience, and it is the single strongest argument for doing nuclear theory rather than reading about physics.

第一个课题会直接上手真实计算,不用先读三个月综述。你可以拿一个现成的光学势,也就是用复数平均势概括许多未显式计算的反应通道,计算某个核打在某个靶上的弹性散射角分布,再从数据库取出几十年前的实验点,画在同一张图上。一个下午之后,衍射极小可能对得上,也可能对不上。大二学生已经能从单位、势参数和数值收敛入手,逐项检查差别来自哪里。

Suitable entry points include a scattering calculation compared against measured data, a reproduction of a published cross section to a stated number of digits, or a small piece of one of the group codes. Undergraduate research projects, thesis projects and summer work are all possible. Write with a short note about which courses you have taken and what you would like to try.

入门题目可以是与实验数据对照的散射计算,也可以复现已发表论文中的截面并检查有效位数,或负责组内程序的一个小模块。大创、毕业设计、暑期科研都可以。来信时请写清修过哪些课、会用什么编程语言,以及想尝试的方向。

Master's and doctoral students硕士与博士研究生

Admission runs through the Department of Physics at Tongji University on the normal annual cycle. Students in the group take on a research line and a code together: the two are not separable here, and by graduation you should own a piece of software that other people use. Recent theses have been built around inclusive breakup with microscopic projectile structure, surrogate reactions, and few-body approaches to nuclear decay.

招生按同济大学物理科学与工程学院每年的常规流程进行。进组后,研究问题和计算代码会一起接手;毕业时应能独立维护一套别人也能复用的软件。近几年的学位论文涉及带微观入射核结构的非弹性破裂、用可测反应间接推断难测截面的替代反应,以及用少体方法处理核衰变。
